Invitations are accepted to the Legislative Fellowship Program, funded by the US Department of State (ECA) which American Councils has the honor of administering in Ukraine.

The program is aimed at young Ukrainian professionals (age 25-35) interested in a 4 week internship in a local legislative body in the US. The deadline for travel in the Spring (late March and April 2010) is December 21, 2009, however applications will be accepted through June for a second travel date in October 2010. English is a requirement and semi-finalists will be required to take the TOEFL (the cost of which will be covered by the program).
 
This is a wonderful opportunity for young professionals, who know English, from NGOs, local government bodies and other institutions involved in policy and legislative development to obtain first hand experience in the US. More information is available on: http://apps.americancouncils.org/lfp
